Job summary

Colonial Group in Cornwall, Ontario is seeking an Industrial Millwright to support production by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery and mechanical systems. This on-site role requires strong blueprint reading and hands-on expertise.

You will read blueprints, perform welding and fabrication, and help keep downtime to a minimum while promoting safety and teamwork. 3–5 years of experience and a Red Seal are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
• Proficiency in precision machining, welding, and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of machinery to ensure proper operation.
• Clean and lubricate equipment as part of routine maintenance.
• Identify and correct mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Remove and replace defective parts as needed.
• Install new machinery and ensure proper setup.
• Educate production staff on preventative maintenance practices.
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
• Carry out welding, fabrication, and general machining tasks.
• Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Create and submit requests for necessary parts and supplies.

Position Title: Industrial Millwright

Position Overview: The Industrial Millwright plays a key role in supporting production by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery and mechanical systems. This position serves as the primary point of contact for addressing issues related to production lines, equipment, and other mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Principle Accountabilities
