Washington Mills in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is seeking an Industrial Millwright for a full-time, hourly role. The position involves repair, adjustment, servicing, and installation of plant equipment and machinery in a heavy industry setting.

You will install, modify, or dismantle equipment, fit parts, and undertake sheet metal work, painting, and welding in the Furnace Yard, collaborating closely with a skilled maintenance crew.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Heavy Industry.
• Certification as Industrial Mechanic (Millwright 433A).
• Be willing to work as a trusted team member with a skilled maintenance crew.
• Enjoy troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
• Experience in repairing and rebuilding.

Responsibilities

• Repair and adjust plant machinery; service, overhaul, and installation.
• Install, modify, or dismantle equipment; fit parts and sheet metal items.
• Paint machines, steel and wood buildings, and stationary equipment; welding in Furnace Yard.
• Work with a maintenance crew as a trusted team member.

What You’ll Do

The Industrial Millwright will perform all machine and equipment repair, mechanical adjustments, servicing, overhaul and installation of plant equipment and machinery. This position performs duties relating to installing, modifying, or dismantling of equipment or separation of parts and the fitting and adjusting of parts, as well as, installation of sheet metal items, painting of machines, steel and wood buildings, and stationary equipment. This candidate will perform all welding and torch work in the Furnace Yard.

What You’ll Need

• Have 3+ years of experience in Heavy Industry
• Possess a Certification as Industrial Mechanic (Millwright 433A)
• Be willing to work as a trusted team member with a skilled maintenance crew.
• Enjoy troubleshooting and repairing machinery
