Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Millwright to oversee the maintenance of our Cambridge facility. The role is full-time and permanent with opportunities for overtime, requiring hands-on repairs of heavy machinery and proactive maintenance planning.

You will collaborate with operators, schedule tasks, and lead corrective actions when equipment breaks down, ensuring safety and uptime across the production line.

Qualifications

  • 433a certification is required.
  • 3–5 years of factory/plant maintenance experience.
  • Experience with heavy machinery and PLCs.
  • Good communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain shop equipment including CNC lathes, manual mills, plate rollers, saws and air compressors.
  • Plan daily work and assign tasks to maintenance staff.
  • Perform regular inspections and electrical/mechanical checks to prevent breakdowns.
  • Lead repair efforts when machines fail and analyze causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with operators to improve safety and reduce downtime.
  • Be available to handle repairs on essential equipment when needed.

A premier global manufacturer of industrial equipment is seeking a high-level Maintenance individual to oversee our primary production facility. Please note this is a permanent opportunity with overtime offered.

Location: Cambridge

Shift: Straight Days - Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm

Position: Millwright

Full time, Permanent work

Payrate: $45

Responsibilities
  • Repair & Maintenance: Fix and maintain shop equipment including CNC lathes, manual mills, plate rollers, saws, and air compressors.
  • Scheduling: Plan out your own daily work and assign specific repair tasks to other maintenance staff.
  • Preventative Work: Perform regular inspections and electrical/mechanical checks to stop breakdowns before they happen.
  • Breakdown Support: Lead the repair efforts when machines go down and investigate why it happened to prevent it from repeating.
  • Collaboration: Work with machine operators to improve safety and reduce machine downtime.
  • On-Call: Be available to handle repairs on essential equipment when needed.
Qualifications
  • Certification: 433a
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience working in a factory or plant in the maintenance department
  • Technical Skills: Must know how to work on heavy machinery and have basic knowledge of PLCs and control systems.
  • Other Skills: Good communication skills and comfortable using a computer for basic tasks.
