Job summary

Alithya is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Functional Architecture Advisor to own solution design on client engagements. You will translate business needs into a unified Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solution, guiding design from proposal to go-live and serving as the design authority across projects.

• Run early-stage discovery workshops and estimate project scope and track estimates through delivery.
• Lead business process workshops and mentor clients on capabilities and methodologies.

Your role, your impact

As a Microsoft Power Platform Functional Architecture Advisor , you’ll own the solution design on client engagements. You’ll translate business needs into a solution across Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform that fits the client’s application landscape, and you’ll be accountable for that design from proposal through go-live. You’ll serve as the design authority for consultants on your projects, guiding solution decisions and ensuring consistency. You’ll also represent the solution to clients, Alithya’s delivery leadership, and presales teams.

Own the end-to-end functional design, including process design, data model, security model, and how the solution fits the client’s existing systems;

Decide where a requirement is met by configuration, by extension, or by a change to the client’s process, and explain the trade-off in business terms;

Define the integration approach with the Technical Architecture Advisor, including the boundary between Dynamics 365 and the client’s ERP, HR, and reporting systems, while contributing to environment and release strategies;

Review the designs and configuration of other consultants, ensuring adherence to established standards.

Presales and estimation

Shape and present solution approaches for proposals, RFP (Request for Proposal) responses;

Run early-stage discovery workshops and solution demonstrations, define and estimate project scope, and track estimates through delivery.

Analysis and definition of needs

Lead business process and requirements workshops, guide clients on platform capabilities and limitations, and contribute to Alithya's analysis and design methodologies and accelerators.

Build and delivery

Configure Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, including model-driven apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio agents, while providing guidance on complex configuration decisions;

Track solution design through delivery, including scope and change management, and define test strategies and acceptance criteria to support successful acceptance and deployment.

Define client training needs and contribute to Microsoft platform capability building through mentoring and internal sessions.

Keys to your success

• 6+ years of functional consulting experience on Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform;
• Design authority on at least 3 full-lifecycle Dynamics 365 implementations, from proposal through go-live, in a consulting environment;
• Deep expertise in at least one Dynamics 365 application area and working knowledge of others, including Customer Engagement or Project Operations;
• Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio agents and Copilot in Dynamics 365, including a clear understanding their ideal use cases and limitations;
• Working knowledge of Dataverse, including the data model, the security model, and environment and solution management;
• Understanding of Azure ecosystem surrounding Dynamics 365 solutions, including Entra ID, integration services, and data platform basics;
• Awareness of Power Platform governance and security, including environment strategy, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, and the Power Platform admin centre;
• Ability to facilitate complex discussions, align stakeholders around a clear solution direction, and explain design decisions in language that resonates with executives, delivery teams, and developers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management, or Software Engineering;
• Microsoft certifications such as AB-100, AB-731, AB-900, MB-280, or PL-600;
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Purview, or similar technologies;
• Public sector delivery experience requiring Government of Canada security clearance.
• Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with clients outside of Quebec.
