Job summary

Alberta Precision Laboratories in Medicine Hat Regional Hospital seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist I to support Microbiology. You will process, test, analyze results and report diagnostic samples in a busy laboratory environment.

The position is a temporary part-time role (0.80 FTE) with day/evening/night shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations, offering health and dental benefits and opportunities for professional development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
• Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples.
• Perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in processing specimens used in diagnosis.
• Work within the Microbiology unit at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.
