Job summary

Alberta Precision Laboratories, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alberta Health Services, invites applications for the role of Medical Laboratory Technologist I at Brooks Health Centre in Brooks, Alberta.

The MLT I will perform daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples, using routine and specialized procedures across the laboratory. Collaboration with clinicians and patients ensures accurate diagnoses and quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
• Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills and strong technical skills.
• Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment.

Required Qualifications:

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Excellent phlebotomy skills, strong technical skills and adaptability are imperative in this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Connect Care, as well as recent bench experience are assets
