Alberta Precision Laboratories in Lethbridge (Chinook Regional Hospital) seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist I in Microbiology. You will perform daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Requires an accredited MLT program and registration with CMLTA; preferred is recent microbiology hospital experience, with strong organizational, time management, and computer skills to thrive in a busy lab environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited MLT program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
• Varies (additional qualifications as described)
• Recent experience in Microbiology in a hospital laboratory is preferred; strong organizational and time management skills; good computer literacy and keyboarding.

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.
