Business Development Manager - CA

Your role on the team:

The Business Development role is responsible for prospecting and closing new business, as well as supporting account maintenance. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Developing a contact list for new business growth opportunities in your assigned market or territory.
  2. Completing daily telemarketing, cold calling, and written communications to solicit new business opportunities.
  3. Serving as a resource to solve customer needs, including transportation, rates for additional services, and contract interpretation.
  4. Communicating regularly with assigned customers, including attending performance review meetings, process improvement or correction updates, and new business initiatives.
  5. Addressing all customer issues, concerns, and requests.
  6. Performing other duties and special projects as required and assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with transportation management systems.
  • Experience with optimization tools preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
