Job summary

Ferrous Processing and Trading, a Cleveland-Cliffs subsidiary, seeks a Laborer in Windsor, ON to support site operations. Responsibilities include safety adherence, loading/unloading materials, sorting metals, and operating mobile equipment.

You’ll assist mechanics, maintain cleanliness, and interact with customers on-site to keep processes efficient. The role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with ability to read, write and do basic math.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience operating mobile equipment is preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards and PPE use; keep site clean and hazard-free.
• Load and unload materials from storage, production areas and vehicles.
• Sort recycled materials and metals to separate high‑grade metals.
• Operate and maintain forklifts, skid steers, street sweeper, and water trucks.
• Use tools such as torch, bander, chop saw and other hand tools as needed.
• Identify scrap grade and remove fluids from materials or vehicles.
• Perform plant cleaning and assist mechanics with equipment maintenance.
• Interact with customers or drivers to direct or assist them.
• Perform other general laborer tasks as required.
