Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, is seeking a Loader Operator in Windsor, ON. The role involves loading/unloading materials, sorting metals, and coordinating yard activities while ensuring safety standards are met.

The position requires 18+ and a high school diploma or equivalent, with ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Strong communication and physical endurance are essential for daily outdoor work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma/GED or 1+ years of equipment operator experience.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials using mobile equipment or by hand.
• Sort recycled materials and metals by grade and type.
• Identify scrap and assess material quality.
• Position trailers and containers and perform daily equipment inspections.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and housekeeping.
• Interact with drivers to direct or assist them.
• Perform daily duties and other labor tasks as required.
