Job summary

Radius Recycling is hiring for a Grader/Sorter to grade and sort incoming metal by appearance and quality and to perform general yard cleanup. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to walk on uneven ground, and handling heavy items with up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Candidates should have basic English, the ability to follow instructions, and ideally scrap yard experience. A valid driver’s license and driving ability are also required.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Basic English speaking and understanding required.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.
• Scrap yard experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Grade and sort incoming metal by appearance and quality.
• General yard cleanup and maintenance tasks.
• Greasing and cleanup at the shear and/or shredder.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance as required at railroad.
• Provide backup throughout the yard and report equipment issues.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental standards.
