Qualifications

• Must be able to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with customers and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Inspect shipments of scrap metal to ensure material meets specifications and is free from environmental hazards.
• Record inspection data such as weight, grade, content, and quantity of scrap metal.
• Notify operations and supervisors of problems and assist in remedial procedures.
• Collaborate with commercial department on quality and consistency of deliveries.
• Direct unloading of vehicles to ensure safe and orderly yard traffic.
• Provide backup support throughout the yard as needed.
