Job summary

Forma Steel seeks a Machine Operator to join our Fort Macleod facility. Typical shifts include day and afternoon with full-time hours. You will operate steel manufacturing equipment, guide materials through processing, and maintain safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities include startup, cleaning, and shutdown of equipment, moving products, and following supervisor instructions. A safety-first, team-oriented attitude is essential in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing equipment.
• Safety-first mindset and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to read and understand production drawings.
• Basic math and ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
• Team-oriented and able to work well with others.
• Physical capability to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate various steel manufacturing equipment (folder, shear, slitter).
• Guide steel into processing areas.
• Perform startup, cleaning, and shutdown procedures on production equipment.
• Lift and move products throughout assembly and production process.
• Complete other tasks assigned by supervisor/lead hand.
• Abide by health and safety practices and requirements.
