Job summary

Ontario Transit Group (OTG) in Toronto is seeking a Quality Inspector (MEP) to lead QC/QA across all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works for the Ontario Line South Civil package. You will verify drawings, manage ITPs, and coordinate NCRs with subcontractors and third‑party testers.

The role requires 5+ years in quality inspection on transit or major infrastructure projects in Ontario, with a degree or CET preferred. Competitive salary and extensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or CET in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Familiarity with OPSS, CSA, ACI standards, TTC and Metrolinx specifications, and Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual.
• Experience managing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and non‑conformance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with document management platforms such as SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, ProjectWise, or Procore is an asset.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and thrive in a fast‑paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the MEP team and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality control and assurance standards across all activities.
• Verify site work complies with issued for construction drawings, shop drawings, Work Method Statements, CQMP, and ITPs.
• Ensure all ITP line items are signed off in real time with complete documentation.
• Maintain records by documenting and closing ITPs and coordinating with Document Control for uploads.
• Initiate NCRs for any work/material not meeting project requirements and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate corrective actions to resolve NCRs within required timelines.
• Inspect delivered materials to confirm compliance with project specs.
• Coordinate required testing with certified third‑party agencies.
• Monitor progress against schedule and report delays to CQC Manager.
• Participate in project meetings and support client reporting on quality.
• Work closely with the team for seamless coordination and project success.
