Join our collaborative project team as a Mechanical and Electrical Coordinator to support the coordination of mechanical and electrical project activities. We seek candidates with proven experience in mechanical and electrical coordination who are committed to project excellence. In this role, you will support your team members by sharing your expertise throughout all project stages. Organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and growth are essential passions for this position. You will manage multiple activities and deadlines to better understand client, team, and project needs. This position requires on-site presence in Moosonee on a 14/7 rotation schedule.

What You Will Do

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to keep the project on track.
• Assist with document control, meeting minutes, and MEP quality assurance to ensure effective communication and execution.
• Manage relationships with MEP trade partners to foster trust and collaboration.
• Oversee the review and approval of MEP shop drawings to ensure compliance.
• Conduct inspections of MEP work and equipment arrivals, create reports, and track deficiencies to maintain quality standards.
• Support compliance with IPAC requirements, aligning the project with regulations.
• Assist in preparing and validating construction schedules and commissioning, including reviewing specialty shop drawings.
• Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing challenges promptly.
• Manage on-site MEP operations and support site staff for smooth workflow.
• Ensure proper execution of quality and commissioning plans from MEP trade partners.
• Coordinate with third-party commissioning agents to facilitate efficient commissioning processes.
• Participate in meetings as required by MEP Operations Leads or the Project Manager, providing insights and support.

This role could be for you if you have

• 3-5 years of mechanical and electrical experience in construction.
• A degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical coordination and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with computer tools and enthusiasm for innovation.
• Knowledge of the Toronto market and ability to work across the Greater Toronto Area.
