Job summary

EllisDon Construction Services Inc. is seeking an experienced MEP Manager in Canada to lead safety, quality, and conformance for project MEP scopes from conception to turnover.

You will drive constructability reviews, manage vendor interfaces, and coordinate with project leadership to ensure schedule and budget adherence. The role requires a mechanical/engineering background, deep knowledge of MEP systems, and a minimum 10 years of construction experience.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Mechanical degree or equivalent combination of technical training and industry memberships.
• Experienced in the management of the projects end to end i.e. scope development, spec development, tendering review and evaluation, managing contractor installation, quality review, project closeout, etc.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical and electrical construction experience.
• Working knowledge of current mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles and practices.
• Ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage safety, quality, and conformance to contract documents for project MEP scopes from conception through turnover to Facility Management.
• Support preconstruction activities to ensure consistency with project procurement model.
• Provide constructability and value engineering reviews.
• Lead and mentor MEP teams to ensure project objectives are met and schedules are maintained.
• Manage RFI’s, shop drawings, and commissioning activities in alignment with project goals.
