Job summary

EllisDon Construction Services Inc. in Edmonton is seeking an experienced M&E Superintendent to lead on-site mechanical and electrical activities for one of Alberta's largest projects.

You will plan, coordinate, and direct installations, while ensuring compliance with drawings, codes and schedules. The role requires a degree/diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of related experience, with CSID security clearance being a must or eligible.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering or mechanical engineering degree or diploma is required or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical construction projects is essential.
• CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance is required or you must be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate on-site mechanical and electrical activities to meet specifications, requirements and codes.
• Coordinate drawings and information to eliminate interference problems.
• Provide direction during functional testing of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with schedules, RFIs, shop drawings and completion requirements.
• Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans and specifications for contractors.
• Report labour quantities and monitor material ledgers to ensure sufficient quantities.
• Resolve conflicts in drawings and specifications with consultants and sub-trades.
