McElhanney is offering internship opportunities in Calgary (AB) for Civil Engineering students. The program runs 8 months with start in Summer 2027 or after graduation; 4-month terms considered.

Interns will work with multidisciplinary teams from design to construction, gaining hands-on experience on field inspections and tender documents. Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Diploma or Degree program in Civil Engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit or related software is an asset.
• Willing to work onsite in Calgary and in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections for infrastructure construction and liaison with contractors on client sites.
• Work with the team to ensure schedules, budgets, quality control, and safety standards are met and maintained.
• Gain exposure to various McElhanney services, including materials testing, construction management, municipal infrastructure, transportation, water resources, geotechnical, bridge, and structural engineering.
• Participate in McElhanney’s safety practices to exceed client needs while ensuring teams think safe, work safe, and get home safe.
