McElhanney Ltd. is offering a Civil/Transportation internship in Vancouver for 4 or 8 months, starting January 2027.

You will work with engineers and project managers on design development from concept to construction, gaining hands-on site inspection experience and exposure to a spectrum of services across transportation, urban projects, and more. Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Diploma or Degree program in Civil Engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or related software is an asset.
• Previous work experience in Civil Engineering or Construction is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills.
• Willing to work in varied environmental conditions and remote areas for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers to develop designs from conceptual to detailed stages using Civil3D.
• Conduct field inspections and coordinate between design and construction teams.
• Deliver projects on-schedule and on-budget while meeting safety and quality standards.
• Gain exposure to multiple McElhanney services including transportation and urban divisions.
• Follow McElhanney safety practices to Think Safe, Work Safe, Get Home Safe.
