Job summary

You will plan monthly calendars, coordinate with residents, families, volunteers, and the local community, and ensure safety while using tools like Welbi and Google Workspace to track engagement.

Qualifications

• Diploma in therapeutic recreation, activity assistant, or gerontology preferred
• First Aid and Serving it Right certificates required
• Minimum one year in a recreational setting

Responsibilities

• Empower older adults in Memory Care/Long Term Care to live vibrant, engaged lives through intentional programming
• Use Welbi and other tools to assess resident engagement and outcomes across seven wellness dimensions
• Develop and produce monthly calendars, newsletters, and informational materials for residents
• Participate in resident bus and shuttle outings with team members as required
• Adhere to organizational values, policies, and health and safety standards; maintain confidentiality
• Supervise volunteers and help set program objectives to ensure high quality of care
• Engage with residents in lifestyle and wellness assessment, goal setting, action planning and celebration of achievements
