Job summary

YMCA BC's Cheam Leisure Centre in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a Member Experience Supervisor to lead the membership team, drive growth and deliver exceptional service aligned with the YMCA's values. This is a full-time, permanent role with a 35-hour work week and a Tuesday–Saturday schedule. Start date is November 1, 2026.

Salary is $60,000–$63,500 per year plus a full benefits package. Reports to the Center Manager and requires leadership, sales and retention experience, and a passion for

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in a related field.
• Minimum four years related experience.
• Experience in health, fitness and recreation preferred; Fitness Certification an asset.
• Experience in sales an asset.
• Experience with Non Violent Crisis Intervention an asset.
• Demonstrating sensitivity to diversity through an intercultural lens/perspective.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on persuasive marketing.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate.
• Access to vehicle for regular travel within the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
• Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search within six months of start date.
• 3 professional references

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase membership enrollment and drive revenue growth.
• Implement retention strategies to foster member retention and engagement.
• Implements systems that achieve membership service excellence.
• Lead trainer for the YMCA 7 Steps to Selling employee training program.
• Collaborate with YMCA BC’s Membership Alignment Workgroup on sales and service initiatives.
• Record and report on member satisfaction and trends.
• Provide orientation and training to new employees and volunteers.
• Coach, develop, and support staff to deliver excellent service.
• Oversee scheduling and administrative duties for the membership department.
• Manage performance reviews and disciplinary processes.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
