The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is hiring Building Operations Staff at Bob Chan-Kent Family YMCA in Chilliwack for a 35-hour week on a temporary full-time basis. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure safe, clean and functional facilities for all members.
Responsibilities include preventive maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and lighting; responding to issues; keeping records; and supporting after-hours needs.

Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift: Shifts vary but may include Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm
Salary: $48,800-$49,995 per year
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: 6-month term from start date
Reports To: Manager, Facilities

The Building Operations Staff member is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all facilities, equipment, and building systems through routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This role works closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and safety on a daily basis. By following established maintenance schedules, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, the position supports the longevity of assets and ensures compliance with health, safety, and building regulations. This is a hands-on position.
