Job summary

YMCA BC in Chilliwack is seeking a full-time Member Experience Supervisor to lead the membership department and drive growth. The role focuses on sales strategies, member engagement, and service excellence across the centre.

Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating schedules, and reporting on member satisfaction while collaborating with YMCA BC regions on initiatives. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires university degree or college diploma in a related field.
• Minimum four years related experience.
• Experience in health, fitness and recreation preferred; fitness certification an asset.
• Experience in sales an asset.
• Experience with non-violent crisis intervention an asset.
• Diversity awareness and intercultural sensitivity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and persuasive marketing skills.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR‑C & AED certificate.
• Vehicle access for regular travel within the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
• Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search within 6 months before start date.
• 3 professional references.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase membership enrollment and drive revenue growth.
• Implement retention strategies to foster member retention and engagement campaigns.
• Lead membership service standards and 7 Steps to Selling employee training program.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to execute sales and service initiatives.
• Record and report on member satisfaction and trends.
• Provide orientation and training to new employees and volunteers.
• Coach and develop staff to achieve excellence in service delivery.
• Oversee scheduling and daily operations of the member experience team.
