Job summary

Insight Medical Imaging is seeking a Medical Receptionist for Unity Square Clinic in Edmonton. This full-time role supports patient check-in, data entry, and coordination of imaging reports. You will assist with exam preparation and ensure smooth patient flow in a busy clinic.

The position requires Grade 12 and strong computer basics; medical terminology knowledge is an asset. Training opportunities and a supportive team environment are available.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 graduation.
• Typing speed at least 50 words per minute.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Medical Office Assistant/Unit Clerk training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in of all patients.
• Document patient information on computer.
• Ensure all previous examinations are imported.
• Assist with patient movement and preparation for exams.
• Handle incoming reports and image requests.
• Request previous exams from outside facilities.
• Import and review previous studies prior to patient arrival.
• Maintain utmost confidentiality of patient information and results.
• Provide patients with exam preparations.

Insight is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our Unity Square Clinic. This is a full time, permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greeting and checking in of all patients
• Documentation of patient information on computer
• Ensures all previous examinations are imported
• Porter and change patients in preparation for exams
• Handle all incoming report and image requests
• Requesting previous exams from outside facilities
• Looking up and importing previous studies prior to arrival of scheduled patients
• Must maintain the utmost in professional confidence of patient information and/or results
• Provide patients with exam preparations
