Job summary

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist – MRT(R) to join our Medical Imaging team within Interventional Radiology. You will support a broad range of procedures, contribute to patient-centered care and work with a skilled interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes high-quality diagnostic imaging, safety, continuous learning, and opportunities to participate in education programs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized, accredited Radiography education program.
  • Registered in good standing with CMRT O? IO (CMRITO).
  • Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
  • Membership with CAMRT preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required General Radiography and Interventional Radiology examinations as prescribed by physicians.
  • Maintain strong team environment amongst fellow Medical Radiation Technologists, nursing team, radiologists and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency in General Radiography and Interventional Radiology.
  • Deliver high quality, safe and compassionate patient care.
  • Work with and participate in evaluation of students from affiliated education programs as needed.

RVH is seeking aMEDICAL RADIATION TECHNOLOGIST – MRT(R)to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our program, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of General and Interventional Radiology. Medical Imaging at RVH offers an expansive range of Radiography imaging programs including General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Breast Imaging and Interventional Radiology. As the hub of our region, we provide a high level of complex imaging across all modalities including high risk OBSP, advanced cardiac and acute stroke CT imaging, life changing embolization and thrombolysis interventional procedures, and cutting-edge treatments such as Trans arterial Radioembolization. Team members enjoy working with advanced technology and equipment and have a multitude of exciting learning and training opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized, accredited Radiography education program.
  • Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
  • Membership with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) preferred.
  • Experience or willingness to train in Interventional Radiology.

  • Working knowledge of Safety Code 35, RHPA and standards of practice for related field.

  • No recent disciplinary events.
