Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre’s Diagnostic Imaging – Radiology department is hiring a Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team. You will contribute to imaging services across X-ray, CT, MRI and other modalities, delivering patient‑focused care in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be registered with the Ontario College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists, hold BLS-HCP certification, and be bilingual (English/French).

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
• BLS-HCP certification required.
• CAMRT certification is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills are required.
• Proficiency with the Meditech System preferred.
• Bilingual English/French required; French testing may be conducted.

Department: Diagnostic Imaging - Radiology

Diagnostic Imaging refers to several different technologies that use highly specialized equipment to quickly and accurately image the human body in order to diagnose, monitor or treat medical conditions. Each type of technology gives different information about the area of the body being studied or treated. These tests are performed by skilled technologists with specialized training. The Diagnostic Imaging Department at the NBRHC consists of, X-ray, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Mineral Density, Echocardiography, Mammography, Ontario Breast Screening and MRI with support services such as Picture Archiving and Communication Systems delivering images instantly to our physicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

• Member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required
• Certified Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) is an asset
• Strong organizational skills required
• Proficiency in multiple modalities preferred; candidate must be willing to cross train
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required
• Knowledge of Meditech System preferred
