Job summary

St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level at the Charlton Campus in Hamilton Downtown.

You will maintain competency per CMRITO standards and participate in departmental activities with a team-based approach. Qualified applicants must hold CMRITO registration; CAMRT/OA memberships are preferred, with ongoing post-graduate education and experience with Hospital RIS.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is required
• Membership in CAMRT and OA of Medical Radiation Sciences is preferred
• Documentation of continued post-graduate education is required
• Willingness to participate in departmental committees and meetings (Quality Management Committee Safety Committee Education Committee)
• Experience with Hospital Radiology Information Systems is required
• Computer skills in Windows environment are an asset
• Previous years of MRT experience is essential
• Knowledge of QC procedures on equipment is required
• Good attendance and work record is essential

Using CMRITO Standards of Practice and Organizational Policies and Procedures performs a variety of radiographic procedures at a technical level. Responsible to maintain competency and follow standards as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). The Department requires a team approach to assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is required
• Membership in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences is preferred
• Documentation of continued post-graduate education is required
• Must be willing to participate in departmental committees and meetings (e.g. Quality Management Committee Safety Committee Education Committee Team Meetings)
• Experience with Hospital Radiology Information Systems required
• Computer skills in a Windows environment are a definite asset
• Previous years of experience as an MRT is essential
