WELL Health Clinic Network Inc. in Toronto region seeks a motivated Medical Office Assistant to support physicians and deliver high-quality patient care at Uptown Health Care - Eglinton. You will work in a team-based environment, handling admin tasks, lab duties, and patient coordination.

The role is part-time with a pay range of CAD 19.00–20.00 per hour. A high school diploma, strong customer service, teamwork, and EMR familiarity are required, with MOA certification considered an asset.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience as an MOA or MOA programs certification is an asset.
  • Strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative duties: answer calls, greet patients, schedule appointments, manage referrals, and handle billing.
  • Lab duties: collect and prepare specimens, perform basic tests, dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize instruments.
  • Patient care duties: coordinate patient flow, prep exam rooms, assist and provide post-appointment support.
  • General duties: maintain patient confidentiality and complete related tasks as required by clinic management.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Administrative duties - answer calls and greet patients in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner, schedule appointments, manage referrals, result management and handle billing.
  • Lab Duties - include collecting and preparing laboratory specimens or perform basic laboratory tests on the premises, dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments.
  • Patient Care duties – Coordinate patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, preparing exam or treatment rooms, answering questions, providing post-appointment service, monitoring the waiting room.
  • General duties – Ensure to keep patient information confidential and secure at all times. Perform all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required by clinic management.
