Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant IV to join the Medical Laboratory Department at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. If Medical Laboratory Science is your passion and you are a reliable, flexible and motivated individual, this role offers a stable, full-time opportunity.

The position includes day shifts Monday to Friday with weekends and stats off, a supportive team, and potential recruitment incentives up to $20,000 plus relocation assistance

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 with a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence as required by position.

About the Job

East Kootenay Regional Hospital is a 75 bed acute care hospital with a medium size Laboratory offering Core Lab, Microbiology, Histology, Pathology, collections and accession services. It is considered a regional referral site for selected testing and there are 30 Medical Laboratory Technologists, and 25 Medical Laboratory Assistants employed in various disciplines.


Job Details

This is a Permanent Full Time (1.0) opportunity.


Shifts of work will be scheduled Monday to Friday day shifts with weekends and stats off.

Qualfications


  • Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program, plus three year's recent, related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License as required by position
