Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Castlegar site. The role includes collecting blood and specimens, preparing samples for analysis, and performing routine laboratory tests in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will enter data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and may perform ECG testing as required. This is a Permanent Part Time (0.41) position with day shifts at Castlegar, BC.

Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine laboratory tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Laboratories, operating related equipment, entering data into the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.

This is a Permanent Part Time (0.41) opportunity. Shifts of work will be scheduled day shift.
