The Role

We are working with a hospital in the Sydney Region, New South Wales, seeking General Practitioners to join their busy JMO team.

The program offers general rotations, emphasizing the opportunity to develop skills across different areas of medicine.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to :

• Be mentored and work alongside experienced clinicians in diverse Medical and Surgical specialties
• Be exposed to a wide range of clinical conditions and treatments, including advanced procedural interventions
• Attend theatre and further develop surgical skills with dedicated in-house training facilities
• Rotation preferences will be considered, based on personal and professional considerations, though not guaranteed

The Clinic

• Each GP has a dedicated room set up to your preference
• Practice with clinical autonomy within a multidisciplinary team
• On-site pathology and imaging services
• Supported by a long-standing nursing team
• The treatment room is nurse-led, with care delivered in partnership with GPs
• The state-of-the-art procedure room is co-located with sub-specialty GP rooms for skin, women’s health, and men’s health, supported by specialist kit and a treatment room nurse

Location

• Wollongong, 45 minutes from Sydney, offers a vibrant coastal lifestyle attracting residents from across Australia and abroad
• This is a Distribution Priority Area (DPA), suitable for Substantially Comparable doctors on the Expedited Pathway and RACGP PEP Specialist Pathway (Substantial)

You will be an enthusiastic doctor committed to clinical care, eager to work in an innovative multidisciplinary environment, and passionate about patient-centered care.

Key Accountabilities include

• Participate in duties as per relevant HETI term descriptions
• Formulate management plans and order investigations in consultation with supervisors
• Communicate assessment and management plans effectively with the care team
• Collaborate with allied health professionals involved in patient care
• Engage in multidisciplinary supervision, training, and education
• Hold or be eligible for AHPRA Registration; international candidates must meet pathway requirements
• Complete a National Criminal Record Check and Immunisation and Vaccinations Check during onboarding
