The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Gynecologic Oncologist Physician Scientist to join the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, which includes nine faculty physicians, two PhD research faculty, and six advanced practice providers. The candidate may also hold a secondary appointment in the Division of Reproductive Sciences, focusing on endocrinology, immunology, embryology, and reproductive health. Membership in the NCI-designated University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center is included, providing access to shared resources.
Established in 1929, the UW-Madison Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has a rich history of training physicians and researchers in women's health, with a focus on clinical excellence, education, discovery, and advocacy.
The candidate will expand an existing research program in gynecologic cancer and prevention, collaborating internally and externally to secure funding.
Mentoring graduate and postdoctoral fellows, teaching courses related to cancer biology, endocrinology, and reproductive physiology, and participating in service activities.
Required: MD or DO, specialization in OB-GYN and Gynecologic Oncology, terminal degree, at least three years of research experience, residency and fellowship completion, laparoscopic and robotic surgery experience, eligible for Wisconsin medical license, board certification or eligibility.
Preferred: PhD, more than three years of research and clinical experience, NIH funding, independent research funding, mentoring experience.
