Interior Health Authority at Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson, BC, is seeking a Relief Full Time Medical Device Reprocessing Technician / Perioperative Aide. You will work days with varied shifts, supporting OR readiness, patient handling, and perioperative equipment management.

The role includes restocking, transporting, and assisting the surgical team with patient observations while ensuring sterile processing and equipment care in a busy surgical unit.

We are seeking a Relief Full Time Medical Device Reprocessing Technician | Perioperative Aide at Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson, BC.

Days of work: Days, Evenings, Monday to Friday

Shift times: 07:00 to 15:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:30 to 16:30

This is a relief position until the return of incumbent.

What will you work on?

• You will perform a series of detailed technical duties related to preparation of the Operating Room (OR) theaters and the position and preparation of the surgical patients and related supplies/equipment.


• You will restock supplies in the theaters and storage areas and transport patients, specimens, equipment and supplies within the perioperative areas.


• You will support the surgical team regarding patient observations and interactions, and in the use, care and location of perioperative equipment and supplies.
