Job summary

Stingray is seeking a Media Sales Strategist for the Halifax team, covering the Halifax Regional Municipality. You will lead local sales for Q104 and 96.5 The Breeze, while representing Stingray's national radio network and leveraging a broad portfolio of media solutions.

You will own the full sales process, drive revenue growth, and build customized client proposals across radio, digital, and retail platforms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of in-person, consultative sales or account management experience.
• Self-manage with a track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Comfortable building ground-up ideas and presenting strategies to business owners and operators.
• Excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator with a history of building strong, lasting business relationships.
• Well-organized, accountable and able to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Live in or relocate to Halifax, NS; valid driver's license, vehicle access and insurance.

• Be a local sales leader of Q104 and 96.5 The Breeze; represent Stingray Radio Stations from coast to coast within a nationwide network.
• Leverage a diverse range of media solutions including radio, programmatic display, video, connected TV, DOOH, YouTube, search, social, and our proprietary retail platform.
• Own the full sales process from lead generation and prospecting to needs analysis, solution presentation, negotiation and closing.
• Drive revenue growth and hit targets through consultative selling and strategic proposals; grow the client base and present customized station proposals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver multi-platform campaigns and assist with remote bookings and wrap-up reports.

We are currently looking for a Media Sales Strategist to join our Halifax team and cover the Halifax Regional Municipality! This position reports to the Retail Sales Manager for Q104 and 96.5 The Breeze.

Your day-to-day

• Be a local sales leader of Q104 and 96.5 The Breeze, Stingray-owned radio stations. You will have the opportunity to harness the power of these popular stations while also representing all Stingray Radio Stations from Vancouver to St. John’s, unlocking vast sales potential across a nationwide network.
• Leverage a diverse range of media solutions including radio, programmatic display, programmatic video, connected TV, digital out-of-home, YouTube, search, social, and our proprietary retail media platform – to help clients grow and succeed.
• Own the full sales process from lead generation and prospecting to client needs analysis, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.
• Drive revenue growth and achieve revenue targets through consultative sales and development of strategic proposals. Manage and grow your client base while identifying new business opportunities which includes building customized client/station presentations and representing the stations at client and community partner events.
• Collaborate with internal teams (promotions, programming, creative, production, digital campaign managers) to deliver impactful, multi-platform advertising campaigns, including assisting with the remote booking process and wrap-up reports for your clients.

Your Qualifications

• You have 2+ years of in-person, consultative sales or account management experience (experience in multi-media advertising or digital media is a plus).
• Ability to self-manage, proven high-achieving performer in all facets of life with a track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• You are comfortable building ground-up ideas and presenting your strategies to business owners and operators.
• You are an excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator with a history of building strong, lasting, business relationships.
• You are well-organized, accountable, and skilled at managing time and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a team-focused mindset.
• You live in or would relocate to Halifax, NS; have a valid driver’s license; access to a vehicle; and valid vehicle insurance.
