JLD-LaguëGroup, a leading John Deere dealer in Eastern Canada, seeks a skilled shop mechanic for our Lac-Saint-Jean location. You will diagnose, repair, and recondition customer equipment and machinery, and prepare units for delivery while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Your experience in the agricultural or industrial sector, plus strong manual dexterity and autonomy, will help you thrive in a dynamic team that supports ongoing training and career growth.

Qualifications

• A DEP in mechanics (construction equipment, agricultural, heavy machinery) is required.
• Experience as a shop mechanic or in a similar role.
• Interest in the agricultural, commercial, or industrial sectors.
• Manual dexterity and autonomy to diagnose and repair efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and repair customer equipment and machinery.
• Recondition used equipment for resale by the dealership.
• Complete repairs and reconditioning work within required timeframes.
• Diagnose issues and determine repair methods and sequence.
• Record additional work on the work order and inform supervisor.
• Prepare new equipment for delivery to customers.
• Respond to customers' technical questions with expert advice.
• Comply with company health and safety policies.

YOU LOVE TO:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and repair customer equipment and machinery;
• Recondition used equipment for resale by the dealership;
• Complete repairs and reconditioning work on designated machinery or equipment within the required timeframes, as outlined on the work order;
