The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is accountable to effectively participate as a team member by providing safe and efficient maintenance for all mechanical rotating equipment and piping systems for our Edson operational areas to support the Maintenance team with the common goal of meeting operations maintenance requirements.
What you’ll do:
Provide mechanical maintenance in performing day-to-day maintenance activities (e.g. procedures) in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
Maintain and troubleshoot all site-specific equipment mechanical problems to optimize operations in accordance with established standards, procedures, mechanical drawings and codes
Manage mechanical maintenance records (e.g. work permits, and required reports) and submits for accuracy and timely reporting
Conduct or coordinate preventative and corrective repairs on all mechanical rotating equipment and related components in plant and field facilities
Actively engage in major overhauls and turnaround / shutdown activities, submit work orders/requests of potential work or opportunity work
Collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance planners, engineering teams and leads.
Respond to emergency situations as necessary and advance communication of issues and their resolution as appropriate
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Journeyman mechanical trade certificate with 2+ years’ experience as a Journeyman
Red Seal designation is an asset
Minimum 5 years’ in the Oil and Gas industry is an asset
Dual ticket certification for Millwright and Heavy-Duty Mechanic would be considered an asset
Experienced and certified in Vibration Analysis would be considered an asset
First Aid, TDG, WHMIS and H2S Alive certifications are required
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
