MCW Consultants is seeking a CAD/Revit Technologist for our Truro, Nova Scotia office. The role focuses on drafting, design support, and construction documentation across mechanical and electrical systems with mentorship from experienced engineers and technologists.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a drafting or engineering technology program.
• Experience as CAD operator in any industry acceptable.
• Strong technical aptitude with design and construction interest.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Assist with development of Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system layouts.
• Convert markups and sketches into construction documents.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
• Participate in quality control reviews to ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
• Conduct field reviews and site visits on projects.
• Gather site information and existing conditions for renovations and upgrades.

CAD/Revit Technologist

Truro, Nova Scotia

MCW Consultants is looking for a CAD/Revit Technologist to join our growing Truro office.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical problem solving, design, and construction projects. We welcome applications from recent graduates, early-career technologists, experienced CAD or Revit operators, or individuals looking to apply their drafting skills in the building consulting industry.

This is an office-based position located in Truro, Nova Scotia. Our office is home to a close-knit team of approximately 10 engineers, technologists, and administrative professionals, covering both mechanical and electrical disciplines. While you'll enjoy the friendly, collaborative environment of a small office, you'll also have the support of our larger offices throughout the Maritimes, giving you the opportunity to learn and develop your career.

Salary Range

• $45,000 - $60,000 (Salary will be determined based on the relevant experience, qualifications, skills and alignment with the role requirements.)

What You'll Do

• Prepare and revise construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Assist with the development of Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system layouts.
• Convert engineering markups, sketches, and design concepts into construction documents.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
• Participate in quality control reviews to ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
• Conduct field reviews and site visits as part of ongoing projects.
• Periodically needed to gather site information, measurements, and existing conditions for renovation and upgrade projects.
• Update record drawings and project documentation.
• Support project teams in delivering high-quality work on schedule.
• Continue developing technical knowledge of building systems through mentorship and hands-on project experience.
