Position: Mechanical Engineering Analyst & Quality Assurance Coordinator
About us:
Established in the late 1990s and incorporated in 2002, ANRIC offers technical and professional engineering services for the evaluation and development of system and component pressure boundary designs across power, chemical, and petrochemical industries in both the nuclear and non-nuclear sectors. In addition to this, ANRIC assists companies in developing and implementing Quality Assurance Programs in line with CSA Standards and/or ASME Codes, serving clients both domestically and internationally, and also provides professional development courses for stakeholders in the nuclear industry.

The role of a Mechanical Engineering Analyst & Quality Assurance Coordinator offers opportunities for professional growth and development. Ideal Candidate:
Required Qualifications and experience:
- P. Eng. (IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE CLEARLY INDICATE YOUR STATUS)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology (4-year program), preferably in mechanical, industrial or related field
- 4 years experience in Engineering and Quality Assurance in a technical or industrial field.
- Knowledge and experience with following Codes and Standards considered an asset:
- CSA B51 – Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Piping code
- ASME B31.1 – Power piping
- ASME B31.3 – Process piping
- ASME BPVC Section VIII – Rules for Construction of Pressure Vessels
- CSA N285.0 - General requirements for pressure-retaining systems and components in CANDU nuclear power plants/Material Standards for reactor components for CANDU nuclear power plants
- ASME BPVC Section III – Rules for Construction of Nuclear Facility Components
- CSA N299 - Quality assurance program requirements for the supply of items and services for nuclear power plants
-Experience using the following engineering software is also an asset:
- Solidworks Simulation
- ANSYS
- MathCAD

Description of roles:
- Collect technical information on client’s products and components, and how they function. This involves reviewing supplied engineering drawings, product brochures, Bills of Materials etc.
- Review and determine applicability of local laws, regulations, and Codes and Standards to the client’s products
- Perform reviews of engineering calculations and technical reports for accuracy and adequacy
- Prepare technical calculations required by the applicable Code or Standard, or by applying mechanical engineering principles, concepts, and engineering judgement. In some instances, Finite Element Analysis may be required.
- Provide support to Senior Professional Engineers in performing technical reviews and certification (P.Eng stamping) of engineering documents.
- Prepare clear and detailed engineering reports containing product description, calculations and analyses, and results.
Quality Assurance:
- Organize and direct audits as Lead Auditor, report findings, and evaluate corrective actions
- Participate in audits as an Auditor, and provide support to Lead Auditors
- Prepare required documentation for audits including audit plans, checklists, reports, etc.
- Develop or assist in the development of QA Program Manuals, Procedures
- Develop or assist in the development of QA documentation such as Manufacturing Inspection Test Plans, travellers, checklists etc.
- Participate in CSA & ASME Codes and Standard Committees as a member or representative
Professional Development Courses:
- Assist in scheduling and delivery of Professional Development Courses provided by ANRIC
- Perform evaluation and grading of examinations and tests from delivered courses
- Collect comments and feedback from Course participants for improvement
- Assist in the delivery of courses; this includes setting up computers, required application platforms, and hardware. This may also involve travel to the sites.
Marketing:
Represent company at Conventions, Trade Fairs, Golf tournaments etc., and network with potential clients within the industry. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Travelling to the event location with required equipment
- Help setting up company’s allotted event space
- Network with other event participants
- Collect information about other companies and services they require
- Follow up with companies and individuals contacted during event
General:
- Prepare quotes, project proposals, and budgetary estimates based on potential clients’ requests: this involves contacting clients and gathering required information on scope, activities, and expected timelines.
- Follow up on new inquiries from potential clients for services
- Communicate with clients on the status of project milestones and ongoing activities.
- Provide guidance and direction to junior staff within the company.
