Title: Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Description
Responsibilities:
- Provides advice on testing strategy, test plans, testing tools, and resource identification for testing efforts.
- Organizes testing for large systems in GUI and non-GUI environments, including system integration, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests).
- Develops test plans, scripts, and cases; executes them across system components.
- Collaborates with testing leads, IT leads, and project teams during analysis, design, development, implementation, and support phases.
General Skills
- Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts.
- Knowledge of structured methodologies for application development and maintenance.
- Proficiency with CASE tools, data query tools, automated testing tools, and version control systems.
- Experience executing various tests including functional, non-functional, and system integration tests.
- Support and participate in UAT activities.
- Understanding of quality assurance principles, practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Capability to create testing documentation and data for various testing phases.
- Knowledge of all SDLC phases and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of at least one programming language.
- Experience with information retrieval packages and testing in object-oriented environments.
- Understanding of Information Management principles and AODA standards.
- Experience testing COTS applications and coding automated test scripts.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- 5-9 years of experience in requirement analysis, test strategy development, and defect management.
- Familiarity with test development, MS Office, Windows OS, and testing interfaces like web and web services.
- Experience with enterprise content management products (e.g., OpenText, Alfresco) and data migration.
Additional Skills
- Experience with tools like Visual Studio TFS, JMeter, Linux (optional).
- Ability to execute tests, analyze results, document findings, and communicate effectively.
Communication Skills
- Strong documentation and presentation skills, capable of delivering clear ideas and maintaining high customer service levels.
Must Have
- Experience with OpenText environment.
- Ability to create detailed test strategies, plans, and cases; execute test cases.
