Job summary

Boundary Equipment is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Engineer-in-Training (EIT), or experienced Engineering Technologist to join our core engineering team. You will design, inspect, and support large mechanical components used in open-pit mining, moving between SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and field information to deliver practical, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, including manufacturing-ready 3D models and drawings.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, and inspection practices.
Hands-on technical capability and problem-solving skills.
Clear communication and collaboration with engineers, tradespeople, suppliers, and customers.
Attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Contribute to new product development and improvement of Boundary components with manufacturability and field performance in mind.
Create accurate 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Reverse engineer components using inspection, measurement, scanning, and field data.
Collaborate with engineering and shop teams to troubleshoot manufacturing and repair challenges.
