Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work independently on small to mid-size projects and as part of a larger team under a Senior Engineer.

You will evaluate and specify mechanical systems, ensure code compliance, and collaborate with clients and colleagues to drive project success. The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, eligibility for professional registration in NB, and at least eight years of relevant experience, with BIM, Revit, and AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited university.
• Eligibility for registration as a professional engineer in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick.
• Minimum of 8 years of applicable experience is required.
• Experience creating tender document packages, including detailed drawings and specifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer mechanical systems and products for projects, ensuring technical accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members, other disciplines, and clients to achieve project success.
• Develop designs through sketches, models, and diagrams; use BIM for 3D models of mechanical systems.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders; assist with scope, budget, staffing, and scheduling.
• Prepare and coordinate project specifications and construction documents; perform calculations using standard software.
