Job summary

Stantec Buildings in Markham, Ontario seeks an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our professional consulting services team. You will design HVAC and plumbing systems, develop BIM models, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams on projects across institutional, transit, and commercial sectors.

You will build and review models, support tendering and construction, and perform field verifications as needed. P.Eng. designation and 6+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• P.Eng. designation.
• 6+ years of experience designing mechanical systems within the consulting engineering industry.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the design of building (HVAC and Plumbing) mechanical systems for projects across sectors.
• Create, develop and maintain BIM/Revit/CAD models per standards.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with other disciplines as part of complete design solutions.
• Identify discrepancies in models and resolve through appropriate channels.
• Review models and drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Participate in tendering and construction phases as required.
• Perform field reviews to support design and verification during execution.
