Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Windsor, Ontario.

The role focuses on design and execution of mechanical systems for civic, industrial, healthcare, commercial and educational projects, with mentorship responsibilities for junior staff. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, prepare design calculations, specifications, and contract drawings, and nurture client relationships for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is required.
Minimum 10 years of consulting engineering experience in buildings.

Responsibilities

Coordinating mechanical drawings and project management within multidisciplinary teams.
Designing building-related mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydronics, Plumbing, Fuels, Controls, Fire Protection).
Preparing detailed engineering design calculations and contract drawings.
Writing reports with engineering solutions and recommendations.
Developing technical specifications for bidding and construction.
Mentoring junior engineers and technologists, including REVIT MEP markups.
Maintaining strong client relationships and supporting business development.
Determining scope and fee for engineering services.
