Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Canada seeks an Electrical Engineer to contribute to building electrical system design and documentation. You will work on varied projects under supervision, applying Canadian Electrical Code knowledge and BIM tools such as Revit.

The role includes client meetings, coordination, and ensuring code compliance. Minimum 7 years of experience and a Professional Engineer license are required; LEED credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering; Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for projects of varying complexity/size.
• Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers electrical systems or products for a project.
• Leads design development through sketches, models, diagrams, and details.
• Uses Revit/BIM for building electrical system models.
• Prepares project documentation including site plans and diagrams.
• Leads coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supports cost estimating and scope management.
• Develops project specifications and executes QA/QC on own projects.
