Job summary

CIMA+ Buildings team in Edmonton is seeking a Technologist to support the design and drafting of building mechanical systems across institutional, commercial and municipal projects.

You’ll use Revit and AutoCAD to model HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems, coordinate with engineers and other disciplines, and perform design calculations under supervision. A hybrid work arrangement and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with Revit Building Systems and AutoCAD 2D.
• Ability to adapt to internal and external REVIT/CAD and design standards.
• Available to work outside of the office on an occasional basis
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to transportation for site reviews and inspections
• Excellent communication skills (English)
• Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, modeling and drafting of HVAC systems, building plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and HVAC control systems, using Revit and AutoCAD
• Implementing redline markups from engineers
• Working with engineers to ensure design coordination with other disciplines
• Design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
• Occasional site visits to survey existing conditions and document ongoing construction
• Continued professional development through internal and external learning opportunities.
