CIMA+ in Calgary is seeking a Technologist to support the Buildings group with the design and drafting of mechanical systems for institutional, commercial, and municipal projects. The role emphasizes HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design using Revit and AutoCAD, with collaboration across disciplines.

Candidates should have 5+ years of Revit Building Systems and AutoCAD experience, strong English communication, and a willingness to work on-site occasionally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with Revit Building Systems and AutoCAD 2D.
• Ability to adapt to internal and external REVIT/CAD and design standards.
• Available to work outside of the office on an occasional basis.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to transportation for site reviews and inspections.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
• Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, modeling and drafting of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Implementing redline markups from engineers.

We are looking for a Technologist to support theBuildingsgroup in Calgary with the design and drafting of building mechanical systems for an array of different building types in institutional,commercialand municipal infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, modeling and drafting of heating,ventilationand air conditioning (HVAC) systems, building plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and HVAC control systems, using the latest versions of Revit and AutoCAD
• Implementing redline markups from engineers
• Working with engineers to ensure that all aspects of the design are coordinated with other disciplines
• Design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
• Occasional site visits to survey existing conditions and to document ongoing construction.
• Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities.
