Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Building Mechanical EIT to support the Buildings group in Edmonton with design and drafting of building mechanical systems for a variety of institutional, commercial and municipal infrastructure projects.

You will design HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems using Revit and AutoCAD, coordinate with engineers, and participate in site reviews and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• University degree in mechanical engineering.
• Entry level knowledge of Revit Building Systems and AutoCAD 2D.
• Ability to adapt to internal REVIT/CAD and design standards.
• Registered (or eligible) Professional Engineering Association in Canada.
• Available to work outside of the office on occasional basis.
• Valid Canadian driver’s licence with transportation for site reviews.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Integrity, team spirit and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, modeling and drafting of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Implementing redline markups from engineers.
• Coordinating designs with other disciplines.
• Design calculations under supervision of a Senior Engineer.

We are looking for a Building Mechanical EIT to support the Buildings group in Edmonton with the design and drafting of building mechanical systems for an array of different building types in institutional, commercial and municipal infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, modeling and drafting of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, building plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and HVAC control systems, using the latest versions of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Implementing redline markups from engineers.
• Working with engineers to ensure that all aspects of the design are coordinated with other disciplines.
• Design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
• Occasional site visits to survey existing conditions and to document ongoing construction.
• Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities.

• The ability to adapt to and adhere to internal and external REVIT/CAD and design standards.
• Registered (or eligible to register as) recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada.
