Job summary

MDA Space is seeking candidates to assemble mechanical products and support production tasks at our facility in Quebec. Responsibilities include assembling antennas, integrating components, and contributing to R&D efforts, with attention to tolerances and quality checks.

Successful applicants will have a college diploma in mechanics/aeronautics and 2–5 years of related experience, with French fluency and English as an asset. Security clearances and CGP compliance are required.

Qualifications

• College diploma or diploma of vocational studies in mechanics, aeronautics or the equivalent.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of the principle of tolerances and geometrical dimensions.
• Ability to recover and enter data with a computer system.
• Use of production databases.
• Good knowledge of French.
• Basic knowledge of English is an asset.

• Prepare, handle and use polymeric products to bond components.
• Assemble and integrate antenna and payload components.
• Support the integration of repeaters and panels.
• Critical integration of antennas sensitive to passive inter modulation (PIM).
• Perform machining on an occasional basis.
• Prepare, assemble and integrate composite structures.
• Inspect, check and validate compliance of some tasks performed by colleagues.
• Support Research and Development.
• Any other related tasks.

Role

Perform assembly of mechanical products. In addition, may have to perform the tasks of the production worker and general help.

Level of Responsibility :

Structured work processes. Some analysis is required before independently choosing from known processes.

Responsibilities/Tasks

• Use of production databases.
• Good knowledge of French.
• Basic knowledge of English is an asset (Contact with customers outside Quebec and head office staff in Ontario).

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the SECRET status level II, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
