Job summary

MDA Space in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue is looking for an individual to perform assembly of electromechanical products. The role involves preparing components, tinning, and manually assembling components on printed circuit boards while operating automated inspection equipment.

Role

Perform assembly of electromechanical products.

Level of Responsibility

Structured work processes. Some analysis is required before independently selecting from known processes.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Prepare components.
• Proceed with tinning of components.
• Manually assemble through hole (TH) and surface mount technology (SMT) components on printed circuit boards.
• Operate and adjust automated inspection and assembly equipment.
• Prepare, handle and use polymeric products for component bonding.
• Install cables.
• Mechanically integrate modules, flex and printed circuit boards.
• Inspect, check and validate compliance of certain tasks performed by colleagues.
• Support Research and Development.
• All other related tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

• College diploma or secondary school vocational diploma in one of the following fields: electromechanical, mechanical, aeronautical or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Plan Reading.
• Basic knowledge of the principle of tolerances and geometrical dimensions.
• Knowledge of standards IPC-A-610.
• Ability to recover and enter data with a computer system.
• Use of production databases.
• Fine manual dexterity.
• Good knowledge of French. Basic knowledge of English is an asset (Contact with customers outside Quebec).

Security / Clearance Requirements

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
