Job summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to join our Supply Chain team in Regina, SK on a permanent, on-site basis. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 6:15am - 2:45 pm.

The role involves mechanical service on retail delivery and semi-trailer units, with duties ranging from inspections to repairs of trailers, tanks, and fuel-management systems. You should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3A is a plus), and at least 2 years of

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical services on retail delivery units and semi-trailer units, including pumps, meters, PTOs, and piping as required.
  • Inspect, adjust, repair or replace parts and systems on commercial truck-trailer units (chassis, frame, cab, body, air brakes, suspension, electrical).
  • Complete tests and inspections per provincial and Transport Canada regulations on cargo tanks and equipment.
  • Install and transfer tanks on retail delivery units; install and troubleshoot truck-mounted fuel management equipment.
  • Perform aluminum cutting, welding, and fitting on aluminum tanks and equipment.
  • Conduct tests required by Transport Canada on cargo tanks and equipment.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Trailer Mechanic on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform mechanical services on retail delivery units and semi-trailer units such as checking and rebuilding of pumps and meters, mounting PTO's, test and repair piping and fittings as required.
  • Inspect, adjust, repair or replace parts and components, and diagnose commercial truck-trailer systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, air brakes, suspension and electrical systems.
  • Complete tests and inspections required by provincial and Transport Canada regulations on cargo tanks, commercial trailers and associated equipment.
  • Install and transfer tanks on retail delivery units.
  • Install and troubleshoot truck mounted fuel management equipment.
  • Perform aluminum cutting, welding, and fitting on aluminum tanks and equipment.
  • Complete tests required by Transport Canada on cargo tanks and associated equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are
  • Have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Carry a valid Class 5 Driver's License; Class 3A Drivers License is considered an asset.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of related experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have a mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
